Kelli Rae Adams, Ceramics 2009, is an artist, editor and certified yoga & meditation teacher currently based in Providence, Rhode Island. Her study of ceramics began in Japan, where she apprenticed with Tetsuro Hatabe in the Karatsu tradition over a period of five years prior to beginning graduate study at RISD. Presently, her creative pursuits reflect both of these experiences, with studio time dedicated both to producing functional ceramic ware inspired by Japanese traditions and to furthering the conceptual, sculptural explorations she began at RISD.
